Questions around public engagement

I have recently posted a few questions around public engagement that we have been collecting answers for over the past few months. They can be found on the Vitae Public Engagement Blog. After some justified backlash via Twitter, I have decided to post these questions here too. This will allow people to comment or add to the answers without needing to create a login for the Vitae website. I must comment though that if you do register for the Vitae website, this will allow you to create posts on our various blogs (public engagement, research staff, digital researcher) as well as adding to the comment on the rest of our main website. Anyway, here are our questions published so far. Just click on the links to view our responses so far:

There are two questions left in this series so I will give you a special preview as you have taken the time to visit my blog! They will be:

  1. What are the top things you need to be effective at public engagement?
  2. What opportunities do you know of that could help people that are new to engagement?

Any thoughts or comments you have on any of these, please feel free to comment below. If its ok, I will transfer your thoughts to the Vitae public engagement blog periodically.

Thanks for all of your contributions, you will really help us to report to national funding bodies and policy makers on what researchers want and need around the topic of public engagement.
